What is the difference between Film and Digital cameras?
Film – takes only still photographs, this was popular way of taking images before digital cameras. Have to take the camera to a professional to get your images printed out. Advantages: not battery operated so wouldn’t run out of battery after so long of using it. Disadvantages: not able to print your images out yourself, have to take it to a camera shop to be able to print the images out, can only take up to a certain amount of images, are able to view your images after they have been printed out. | Digital – takes videos or still photographs. Digital cameras are the main 21st century devices used in the field of digital photography. You can print out the images yourself, using the memory card in your camera and copying them over to a computer and selecting of your choice the images you would like to print. Advantages: can display the images you have taken immediately, store thousands of images (depending on you memory card size), able to delete images off the camera that you find unsuitable or to get more free storage space. Disadvantages: battery can run out after so long of using it. |
